Wedding: Indhiran and Tersia

From the time I was little, I wanted to be an artist telling stories to the world. I struggled with many mediums, eventually picking up a camera. For me photography changed the way I see things. It was an incredible transformation for me to see the world through new perspectives and to meet so many amazing souls from all walks of life. Suddenly I had a voice, I noticed light, shapes, colours, textures, people, buildings, trees, flowers… Everything around me looked different when I started to see the world as a photographer. Arts on Main or Maboneng District is a uniquely designed urban area in inner city Johannesburg filled with inspiring coffee shops, great food, art galleries, and live music can always be heard in the streets. These spaces have the most amazing views of Johannesburg - great for unique images.

Nelengu: Tersia

When I arrived to document this function, I was taken aback by how beautiful the venue was. I have had numerous queries as to the location of this venue, and I though this was a hotel only to find out it was the brides uncle's home. I love working with existing light and clean lines - it just creates amazingly vibrant and beautiful images. This venue provided all of that and more but in the end its the beautiful people that provide the soul of any event. When I look back, I smile mainly because I get to meet so many amazing people and have the opportunity to capture their stories along the way....
